Fundraising Friday- Kenyan School Supplies

It's Fundraising Friday again! And that means time to highlight one of our fundraising goals. This week let's talk; workbooks and paper. A main staple in any educational system. Used to teach lessons, gives tests, assign homework., you name it. 

So one of the Kenyan School supplies we can not order randomly online are workbooks. Specific paper used for classes and a few other small items are all to be purchased in Kenya. To stick with the approved curriculum, everyone must have the same books. 

We have taken an extensive amount of time to look at the cost of supplies in Kenya vs online and have created a list of items that are 1. Cheaper in Kenya or 2. Required to be purchased in Kenya.  After several talks with local merchants, we have been able to secure bulk discounted prices for these items, allowing your donations to buy more items. This will also support local business, bringing fresh revenue into the community and helping the shopkeeps to provide for their families.
